Allow for teeing off on 10 for an 18-hole round.  It's a routine occurrence in golf and could seemingly be replicated easily.

Play two niners and add up the results.

IMHO, 9 hole strokeplay games are a better option than 18 holes:

    - they are shorter,

    - they count double in the RRs,

    - they give a better chance to play a brilliant round which will count to the average.

I used to play a lot of 9 hole weeklies back in the day, practicing the courses one by one.

Could easily do a reverse the nines option by using your Country Club`s Custom Course Builder. In my CC (The LPGA)  we are allowed 10 different tournaments with the Course Builder. We do many `different types` like best of the finishing holes (the 18ths)... Reverse a whole course playing the 18th first , then 17, 16 right back to hole 1 as the final hole.

Could also do the same with a nine hole course played in reverse from the 9th back to hole 1. It adds a little fun and of course you have the option of playing around with the tees and wind and green speed tailored to your choice.

    Just a little imagination needed.
