WGT is now saying that they don't know how to fix the Bogey Glitch because they don't know how to duplicate the problem.  They say "it's hard".  So, unfortunately, I would not expect a fix anytime soon 😞

is that from the discord channel or somewhere in the forum?  have not seen anything like that in the forum, so my guess is the other.

That's correct.  There was a discussion about it in the WGT Discord server 10 days ago.

    WGTChampion stated:

"from what my understanding is that it's something when players physically quit/close the game and that causes issues with our system"

    and

"We know it happens. We can't reliably make it happen, which makes it hard."

I offered what I believe to be a pretty simple workaround for them.  Everything is already in place (i.e. 3 holes, 2 players, disqualification, 45-second timer).  You're an I.T. guy, Scott.  Is there a major hole in my proposed solution?  I don't think so, but I'm biased, of course. ;-)

I do agree with WGT to the extent that if you can't duplicate a problem, it's very difficult to fix.

We always tested from outside our firewall as things occur differently when you're operating from within.  I'm not saying that's the issue, but, if we all see and they don't what's different?

I think that could work, but I really don't have a feel for how easy it would be for the WGT programmers to develop and implement a "DQ-bot opponent" for Showdowns.

I actually like the proposal from Babzilla33 that you quoted better:  Get rid of the H2H coin rooms and make the showdowns single play just like any other tournament.  Both mobile and PC players can play single-play tournaments, and if you lose connectivity during one (intentional or not), your game will auto-save and you can come back in and pick up where you left off.  So I guess I just don't get why the Showdowns have to be in coin rooms at all.

I guess that in more cases than not wgt make a few coins.  It may seem immaterial to those of us that have too many of the things but presumably there are some that buy them.  Whatever happens I hope they keep the clock, we've enough tournaments that are kind to spreadsheets.

IMO- this seems to be the only way it will ever really be fixed, going back to flash this game always had weird ways of dealing with someone not connecting, quitting, forfeiting- never seemed that there was a standard way this happened- regardless of game type.
