I would have to say this months KIA $5 Front 9 RG with heavy winds and championship greens is on of the most difficult RGs I've played since joining. Oakmont heavy winded RGs are tough too but I've never played one there with championship greens plus heavy winds.

KIA's greens are bad enough but make them championship speed and they are brutal. Especially with those lovely side views you get for about 60% of your putts.

    There was actually a 31 YES a 31 (5 under) leading.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not bitching. I actually sort of enjoy the challenge.

Many, many months we say this exact same set up, and it was indeed tough, i am still not a fan of RSG in high winds, but Kiawah, High winds, Champ Greens, F9, is very very tough.   When we had it before 31-32 was a great score and would win that RG many times.

    Its fun to be challenged.

    Cheers,

I was amazed to come first with a 29, so no complaints here, (exept for the side view diagonal putts you can get)

Yeah I was sorta surprised when I won one with a 29 a few days ago too. But I've played a couple more times since and really not surprised now.

I had 80% side winds today at around 17mph. That was nasty. Still managed a 31 but it was a struggle.

And bogey, I'm with you on the RSG high wind RGs. Actually I RARELY play heavy wind RGs. Just too much luck of the draw as we all know.

And not for the first time either!!! I fully expected someone to beat my 30 but when I saw there were 49 scores in I thought I might hold out. My first words this morning......ffs

    :^)

    Great round btw.
