Qualifying starts Aug 1st, sign ups will continue after that

Due to fewer players signing up than desired need to make some alteration

The qualifying will be 18hole stroke at st andrews and 18 hole stroke at Royal st george.

you will have 3 weeks to get them in August 21st).

Match play tournament will now be

The first 32 players who signed up for Match play Tournament and complete qualifier will be in for a 32 player match play. If less than 32 complete qualifiers than those that only played one will be added (until I reach 32 players). Any remaining spots will be offered at random to those who did not complete any but signed up.

Stroke play tornament will now be

The qualifying rounds will now be the first two games of stroke play with the goal of getting at least par in both, or , if I score lower than par you score higher than me.

Welcome to the 7th rendition of the Andyson Memorial Tournament (2022)

A breif history ....

This Tournament is to honor the legacy of one WGT's honored fallen golfers Dennis "Andyson" Anderson. Who believed in helping other and establishing long lasting friendships. The tournament was started in july 2016 by WGT member Paulton, to honor the memory of his friend. He decided to stop hosting it after 2 years. I decided to run it after that because many members of the community wanted it to continue. I only planned to do it the third year, but with urging of my friend Art "SlicedPepper" Caine, who knew Dennis, we continued. Art passed on just after the 4th year of the tournament. It is for him that I continue doing it, to honor his memory.

The Tournament ....

The Andyson Memorial consist of a qualifying round. This is two 18 hole stroke play rounds. The Qualifier must be scored round (show in score history) and not a Country club or WGT weekly/monthly tournament you will have 3 weeks to complete both rounds (till August 21). Due to low player sign up see changes below

The Match play will be the first 32 players who completed the qualifying round. If less then 32 qualify, I will then add everyone who finished at least 1 of the qualifiers till i reach 32 players. If I still have less than 32 then i will randomly offer spot s to those that signed up but did not play. The players will need to arrange their match with their opponent and play it in a 2 week window. Failure could result in your elimination, and I will choose 1 of you to advance.

The Stroke play will be 18 hole rounds. The qualifying games will the first to elimination points and must score at least par or better than me if i score over par. The rest will be played over a 10 day window. The top half of lowest scores (+ ties), will advance to next round. Failure to post a score could result in your elimination. When the number of participants drops to 3, and if one play scores better than the other two they will be declared the winner.

The use of clothing attributes will be up to the players playing. Timer and Time outs, also to be decided by the players involved. The stroke play rounds must be Ranked/scored rounds and not WGT weekly/monthly tournaments and not Country Club Tournaments. Only the first score showing in your score history for your round (in the time frame for that game) will count. Keep in mind this will last from August 1st (start of qualifying) till possibly mid November.
