    Hello everyone,

I've noticed something strange with virtual play on WGT greens with regard to uphill and downhill putts. In the real world, an uphill putt requires extra power on the stroke to get the ball to the hole. Of course on downhill putts it's the opposite as you allow gravity to assist you. On WGT greens it's the opposite. I usually  aim for the dead centre of the green bar in the putting assistant. Do that on a downhill putt and you'll be miles short! So I've been giving it more power and it works for me. Do that on an uphill putt and you'll overshoot by miles! Obviously I give it less power and that also works. I know some of you will say "Well if you've found a solution, don't worry about it" Well I'm not, I just wanted to see if anyone else has wondered about it.

    Regards,

    Pat

Hi Pat. The putter pal "green" shade section is simply the game giving you an approximation of how hard to hit it. It is by no means accurate in the slightest. If you drag the aimer around you'll notice the green power suggestion also increases and decreases. If you aren't calculating the putts, you can simply move the aimer past the hole on downhill putts and before the hole on uphill to see if this helps.

    Thanks Babz,

I'll try that. Still learning how to play this game!

    Keep well.

    Pat.
