How bout a 60 second shot clock instead of 90. 60 should be plenty

60 seconds is not enough if you like to chat a lot. When I meet a player with whom I haven't played for months, we often have so much to talk about that even 90 seconds per shot isn't enough.

This has just been discussed in another thread. Copying from there:

The best solution is to emulate TWO in this. When setting up a multi-player round on TWO, the game host is given 4 timer options: 30 seconds / 60 seconds / 90 seconds / no timer (!).

I agree with you that the default timer for multi-player rounds might be set to 60 seconds, rather than 90 seconds. But, the game host should be given the option to extend the timer to 90 seconds, or to shorten it to 30 (or 45) seconds, or to disable the timer for leisurely play among friends, with enough time to go to the bathroom during those grueling 3-hour 18-hole foursomes.

Anyone that plays is free to play as fast as they wish. But my eyes are bad and it takes time for me to set up a shot. Don't rush me.

With all respect, AlaCowboy, I'm sorry for your disability. Please understand, I don't wish to exclude you from this game at all...but does it honestly take you 180 seconds to line up your shots?

    What "180 seconds"?

The default right now is 90 seconds, and it's very much welcome. I sometimes very much like the opportunity to chat as well as play, and for that the 90 seconds time-out is ideal.

That being said, it's OK if the game host were allowed to set a time-out of 60 or 30 seconds as well, like in TWO.

No, 60 seconds is often definitely not enough. Don't try to force your own preferences onto everyone else. Every person and player is different.

Instead, let's lobby for WGT to do like TWO did it: allow the game host to specify whether the time-out in that particular round will be 30, 45, 60 or 90 seconds. If I play someone I've never met before, it's likely we won't be chatting that much; but if I play a friend I haven't played with for 2 months, I guarantee you we sometimes talk so much both of us struggle to hit the ball within 90 seconds.
