    Hi all,

Like most golfers I occasionally launch a wayward drive and on bad days I end up in the Weeds which have become the bane of my golfing existence.

Please, can someone give me some pointers in getting out of the Weeds. From both greenside weeds and off-the-fairway-in-the-middle-of-nowhere weeds.

    Cheers,

         A weed-whacked golfer

Depends on the severity of the lie. If you get a 60/70 or worse don't get greedy, take your medicine and hack out sideways by punching a wedge. Anything less severe you can usually move the ball a lot further forward by punching a 6/7 iron. I don't usually risk any longer a club than that but others may well do so....

I find hitting a 6/7 iron out of 50-60% weeds gets me out up to 100 yards. As Tiff says, just try and find fairway in any thicker stuff than that.
