Heh-Tough break. Did you learn anything there? Like pulling the pin if you think you can make the shot? ;-)

Yes,  I did sir. The shot was hit way to hard and hit the flag high so probably wouldn't have gone in anyway. But the thing I do not understand is that I had full backspin using a Calloway s ball which kind of surprised me it went back so far after hitting the flag.

Edit: Understand what you mean now Mr. Jim. Without the flag being in the ball would have stopped just behind the hole.

Maybe even spun back in. A good rule of thumb for  pulling the pin is to pull it if you think you can make the shot. Sometimes, when you're not sure on the power, leaving it in could help stop the shot.

Well Mr. Jim, if it wasn't for #7, I do believe I would have surpassed you in the November Congressional CTTH.

full back spin coming of stick turned it into full top spin.

plus I always said .those pins are rod iron spring loaded poles that act like there 3 in. thick

LOL. Nice score. There's always one, isn't there? Take 20 points off that hole and you're #1.  :-)

Yes sir. The ball landed on the knoll and stopped but then, it decided it wanted to roll backwards about 5 yards.
