    Slor

The proposed rulebook link is not currently available so I am hesitant in commenting more fully on the format.

However a quick calculation of the credit proposal set out above means that an individual player would "potentially" be putting up 8900 credits to fulfil a regular season of fixtures. I have to say this will price a lot of people out of being able to compete.

If I am reading this wrong I apologise in advance, however having talked to a number of fellow CC members there would be some reluctance in competing in the credits division. Part of the fun and excitement of the "Slors" league is pitting your skills against the best players that WGT has to offer. I think this proposal would mean that "only" the very very best players would take part. There are already "high roller" MPC events (such as the Hustle) that already cater for players who have a healthy credit balance.

I appreciate that there will still be a free to enter division but I believe the credit division would get more participants if the challenge amounts were slightly more modest.

    Many Thanks

Karl it only works out at 3000 credits for the 5 matches not 8900.

Thanks Lee.....looks like I misread it first time around. Certainly 3000 is a liitle more realistic....my bad !

I have changed the rulebook to state that the value of credits for each match can be agreed in advance by the captains with default values in the absence of such an agreement.

Thoughts on the default credit amounts welcome... I have heard a couple more voices that have contacted me asking if we can bring them down to 500 as the top match. ....

one idea is to limit the difference between the top and bottom match so that the top match is not worth more than double the bottom match... for example 500, 400, 350, 300, 250... let's give the discussion a week or two to develop. Plenty of time until January.

    HI SLOR,
maybe my opinion does not count much but I think that the spirit of good competitionthat distinguishes CC League is a bit lessmaking mpc with several credits.
I think this is the only competition that goes against the various CC and should notbe played only to win credits, but only to bring up their CC.
So your latest proposal from 500 to 250 is much better ..... actually I think the proposal from 500 to 400 - 300 - 200 to 100 would be ideal and less expensive.
Also propose to put a prize up for grabs for the team that wins the tournament.
You might think to pay 500 credits (entry fee) = 100 for each player to give you SLorwith mpc-forfeit for each team and assign all the teams ranked first.

This is just an idea and eefeven if you think that is a "ball breaker" loll .... however, I wanted to thank you for the effort that you put to create the CC LEAGUE
Sorry for english.....i use google translate......loll

    Format: Match Play

A free division CC v CC game consists of five singles match play over 9 holes with extra holes if necessary to determine a winner. A league week will begin and end at 8am GMT (midnight Pacific time) on Wednesdays. If a team has not won 3 points in their CC v CC game, then the game will be declared incomplete, and neither team will be awarded a win or a loss. No forfeits will be awarded. Teams that have three incomplete games will be removed from the tournament.

In the last competition we had quite a few teams that could not get their players to play. Without allowing forfeits the team that is trying to get the other side to play is now penalized and that just isn't fair. This can easily knock a team out of the competition while another club may have more teams placing. I think the rule should be as follows : One Warning written in the forum and their personal profile wall will be given to the team captain  to get their player to play or substitute an eligible player with 48 hours of that notice or an automatic forfeit will be used and the team attempting to play will be credited a win.

Bootsie, it sounds like a nice idea, but the (wo)manpower available to give these warnings, keep track of who has them, and hear all of the appeals / gnashing of teeth over forfeits isn't there for a competition of this size - the free division will probably be have around 80 teams!

This is also an online competition, where player availability is subject to personal constraints that organisers don't know about (e.g. playing at work).

We have added a couple of rounds to have a better, albeit limited opportunity for teams that get a bad draw in the first couple of rounds to fight back to the top.

I'm happy to have a discussion in the forum, but right now forfeits are not manageable!
