Club limits?

  The PGA is now allowing players to  carry up to 18 clubs as opposed to the 14 club limit.  Does WGT have any plans to do the same?  I would think so as this would increase club sales in the pro shop as people buy additional drivers, wedges, etc.

  Never heard this but if it is true I would purchase a hybrid, Cheers

  Ya, I get that...and have no idea if PGA will follow or not, just providing the link I found but had a hard time making sense of who/what the GHA was...

  Actually I don't think they do...This is 2023 rules and page 40 Rule #4

  Rule 4 4.1b Limit of 14 Clubs; Sharing, Adding or Replacing Clubs During Round (1) Limit of 14 Clubs. A player must not: • Start a round with more than 14 clubs, or • Have more than 14 clubs during the round. This limit includes all clubs carried by or for the player. But it does not include parts of a broken club and separated parts (such as a clubhead, shaft or grip) that are being carried by or for a player at the start of their round. If the player starts a round with fewer than 14 clubs, they may add clubs during the round up to the 14-club limit (see Rule 4.1b(4) for restrictions in doing this).

  I took a look at the online versions of the Rules of Golf and both sets still list a limit of 14 clubs. Would be nice if there was something valid behind the GHA statement.

  Let me dream and my choice would be a driver, an hybrid and two more wedges :-)
