On a severely-sloped green I often set the marker 2 - 3 grids to the right or left of the hole. When I hit the "Ding" on the putting meter, the ball heads straight for the hole instead of the marker. Is there some trick I am missing?
When you are up on steep slopes and having a downhill putt, aim way extra and play off ding....heavy off ding sometimes. When you will be playing champ 13-14 greens, the arc is even more pronounced.
I played for 10 years and the putting grid sure helped me...I'd usually miss by 6 inches instead of 6 feet. Mind you, the original putt was from 3 feet away..(:
