am currently playing with a player who has a R9 TP Master 8.5 driver. He is at Level 43, i'm at 53, and cant unlock this driver until level 62. Can someone tell me what gives? Thanks
I think it's because he's had the driver since before the current level system was implemented, when equipment was unlocked based on tiers. If you check the driver in the pro shop it says the driver now is "equivalent to" the driver he has, and his driver info, on his profile page, should not have the level specified (as "newer" clubs do)
Leon's absolutely correct.
If you look at the R9 driver currently showing in my equipment, it has no level. I've owned it since before the level system came into effect.
Same with my 54 and 60 degree wedges.
