  So I'm tempted to sign up to this offer to receive the 5000 credits bonus but how will WGT know that I've done this as it's a mobile app download that you need to install.

  The offer is nothing to do with WGT, it's between RevU and Pokerstars.  If you do decide to do it you need to make sure you follow the qualifying rules precisely otherwise you won't get the credits.
