    Fantastic Score Mara!  Well done.

The hardest thing, is keeping the nerves in check (well for me anyway...lol) and the second hardest thing is (when your in the groove) is to try and stop your brain from thinking what score your going to shoot at the end.  I think, if you do start looking ahead it could end in disaster...lol.

It doesn't matter what Tees your shooting from, ya still have to put the ball in the hole to shoot a great score and there is nothing wrong in bragging when you do shoot a great score.

    Cheers

    Thanks Roger....

Certainly keeping the nerves in check helps but the brain does start to wonder about the end score & of course what usually happens is you pull or slice the shot sending the ball into a place that is guaranteed to wreck the round....!!!

LOL...!! Cheers, it certainly was enjoyable...!

After reading numerous posts of complainers I can appreciate how wrong they are and that these scores can be achieved though time on the course & putting in to practice the advice given by the better players on this site.  All I have ever used is a calculator & my golfing brain...!!! Good clubs & balls help too...!!

One of the best tips I got on this forum was working out the speed of the greens... a very simple but accurate calculation...after taking elevation in account, for very fast divide by 1.2, for tournament divide by 1.3 and championship the same but easing off a little on the power (allowing for the fact that the break in the putt happens much earlier than tournament..!!)

    Happy hitting to all.
