I cannot play WGT on my new laptop

  Maybe if you gave the laptop to a child, that might be a good reason to go back to 'S' mode. I have read that you can't go back, but I wonder if that is the case even if you reinstall the operating system.

  Do you know if it is possible to download and install WGT from the MS app store while maintaining "S" mode?

  It appears not PG, as the WGT app is not certificated.

  There is a setting on my PC that allows me to download apps from the Microsoft Store or Anywhere. If that setting is available on a PC that is in 'S' mode, you could try changing it to see if it makes any difference.

  Settings / Apps / Advanced app settings / Choose where to get apps

  As Scott mentioned,  WGT is not available in the ms store. You cannot download WGT if your computer is in "S" mode.
