That's all the games played in this week's stroke play event at Oakmont - thank you. I've always felt it's a course that you can score well if you are in the right position on the green, but if not, it can bite you in the you-know-what! I barely made the cut this time, but yesterday I played an 18-hole bracket at Oakmont and scored a 57. And I think the speed of the greens makes a huge difference too - in the bracket game it was on Tournament 11 greens, which makes them much less daunting than Championship 13.
I shall be updating the stroke play post on page 1 in about 12 hours time. We're now getting into the nail-biting part of the tournament. Good luck to all those still remaining.
4 more matches to play in the 3rd round of the matchplay event, hopefully they'll all be played before the end date next Saturday.
