When stopwatches were first used for the marathon, the person with the stopwatch started it on the starting pistol and then had to cycle ahead of the runners so they could stop it when the race finished.

...and, after far too many occurrences of tired runners tripping over a randomly dumped bicycle, bumping into the man with the stopwatch and accidently pressing his reset button, they decided to run round in circles and leave the stopwatch man at the start line.

How you text is giving away your age . ---------- If you write in full sentences, with correct grammar and leave the auto-capitalisation on (in other words, your phone inputs a capital letter automatically) chances are you're a millennial. Meanwhile, if you write in all lowercase, chances are you're a Gen Z. .

What is skiplagging? Also known as hidden city ticketing, skiplagging is a travel trend which has recently gained a lot of traction on social media, skiplagging is where you purchase a ticket for a journey with a connecting flight with no intention of getting the connection. For example, lets say you wanted to fly from London to New York but the tickets were pricey, a skiplagger would purchase a ticket from London to Miami with a connection in New York but not get on the second flight. The practice has become so popular in the US that a website dedicated to finding the best skiplagging deals has cropped up. Now, the trend may sound harmless or - dare I say - even helpful for travellers, however, skiplagging can actually land you in hot water with airlines.
