Earth’s oceans absorbed 287 zettajoules of energy in 2023. Humanity uses about half a zettajoule each year to fuel its civilisation. A joule is our standard unit of heat energy. A zettajoule is that unit with 21 zeros behind it.

The longest maritime border France shares with any country is with Australia, due to France’s overseas territories. And their longest land border is with Brazil. .

Vietnam Draft Dodgers Pardoned . January 21, 1977 . U.S. President Jimmy Carter pardons the Vietnam draft dodgers. This pardoned those who violated the draft between August 4, 1964 and March 28, 1973. It is estimated that over 500,000 men had dodged the draft. However, this did not pardon military personnel who went AWOL..

When you watch a 50 pound lamb lower it's head, close it's eyes and try repeatedly to jump through the 6 inch squares of the fence, you get the general idea that 'there are no lights on in there and, definitely, no one home' .

And the best golfer of all times, hands down.  This info from various sources:

    Just from 1970-1980 in Majors: Missed 1 cut in 44 events; 38 top 10s; 30 top 5s; 10 wins.

19 career runner up finishes in Majors (compared to Tiger's 7) to go along with his 18 wins (compared to Tiger's 15).

Those runner up losses were to guys like Palmer 2 times, Trevino 4 times, Watson 4 times, and several other decent players like Ballesteros, Player, Lema, and de VIcenzo.

Meanwhile Tiger's runner ups came against perennial juggernauts like RIch Beem, Michael Campbell, Zach Johnson, Angel Cabrera, Trever Immelman, Y. E. Yang and Brooks Koepka (OK, he's pretty darned good, I'll give you that).

Margaret Abbott was the first American woman to win an Olympic gold, coming first in the women's golf tournament in 1900. She was signed up by her mother and didn't realise she was competing in the Olympics, and lived her whole life without finding out.
