    Some citizens keep up the tradition of spending their lifetime aging a wheel of cheese for mourners to eat at their funeral. It's good to have a hobby .

    Due to conservation efforts needed for World War II, a ban on American bakers selling sliced bread goes into effect. The ban was ordered by the Food Administrator in an effort to conserve wrapping paper, because "the ready-sliced loaf must have a heavier wrapping than an unsliced one if it is not to dry out".

    During a golf competition, Paul's ball ended up in a sand trap inside a little brown bag that had blown into the course. He was told that he must either play the ball in the bag or take the ball out and incur a 2 stroke penalty. If he took the ball out, he would lose. What did he do?
