In 2nd round action between Kasias Korner and Freedom Golf Club today we had billy26201 pitted against mrshanestaley in what may go down as the 7th of 8 games to be played by these two teams! Eddie (billy26201) got off to a solid start, avoiding trouble through the early holes. Shane (mrshanestaley) on the other hand had a rocky start, with a bogey on the 3rd and another on the 5th to go 2 down early!
Mr Shane's fortune changed suddenly with a holeout for eagle from the fairway on hole 7! He would then add another birdie to bring them back to AS at the turn. It looked as though we were in for a barn burner of a match at this point!
Unfortunately we were playing on WGT, so that did not turn out to be the case. Both golfers suffered lipped putts that could have won some holes. Mr Shane did manage to take a 2 up lead through the first few holes on the back. Then Eddie's putter finally did the trick and got him to 1 down after 14.
But as quickly as the tide came in for Eddie, the wind seemed to blow right out of his sails as Mr Shane took holes 15 and 16 to close out this match. The win ends up going to Mr Shane. Final score is 3 & 2.
