I think this started about 4 days ago and still not filled, strange - Oakmont, championship greens and a $20 entry fee,

Ok, not strange at all lol

Now this months RG's - well done and thank you Icon, personally I'm loving them

I played in this last Tuesday afternoon, so it's going on 5 days now.

Champ greens are scaring everyone away. Don't blame them, if you land in the wrong spot on a few of those greens there's no way to make birdie, and par is tough!

I'm interested in seeing the scores, even though I played like a turd.

Yah i was actually just going to make a post about this.  I guess many have a fear of Oakmont.  I personally love the course, but it can eat you up.  I was able to get a 59 in, so im anxiously awaiting to see where i am at.  Naturally there will be a 56 and a 57 ahead of me ;(  Or even worse, two 59's that are somehow better than mine ;)

Agreed though, this set of RG's is awesome...lots of choice.  Well done WGT!

They update the high stakes RGs every week closed today and tomorrow starts the new week for them.  So come Monday morning there will be two 2k RGs

I did not know that thanks

Bit of a quick turnaround though - when there is a popular one it will fill quickly but be gone after a week, and this one only just got filled in the week

I have learnt to avoid premium RG's.  It is a combination of acceptance that i'm not good enough, and hard experience and wisdom.  Nothing to do with green speeds.  Everything to do with the fact that the Premium RG's attract two types of players - the best, and the cheats "sharks".

My example would be the Cabo full 18.  For a month this 100 RG ran with low wind and tournament greens and very rarely produced a 56 or 57 with 58 being the usual winning score.  Then it went Premium with Championship greens and 55 was needed to get into the top 10 LOL!  I think 3 players shot 53's first RG out of the gate!

For me, the very best thing about the Premium's is that it has made the 100 RG's a lot more fun for mere mortals like myself.  I've even managed to win a couple!  :)

    Hi Ecka

That tourney was played off short tees so there were possibly 8 chances to hit eagle, every shot into a par 5 was mid to long iron and at least 3 for the par 4's were drivable, it was completely understandable the low scores, I hit a 59 and came 30th lol But I accept I did not play well enough to justify going higher.

lol yes I entered that thinking I'd done ok in the 100 credit tournaments, so I thought I'd give it a go, I shot 57 and lost $5, I needed a 55 to be in credit, thats a hell of a score even with short tees - it was fun though and I think its a move forward that WGT is trying different pins for legends, it does remind you how you used to play where you can drive greens, and the other shots are mainly drive wedge.
