Sorry if ive put this in the wrong Forum

needed to get it off my chest

I am becoming disillusioned & tired of World Golf Tour for the 1st time & i think i know why
I am a competitive player ( not a bad thing ) & in trying to keep up with the big guns or rather trying to compete in the top tournaments i have shelled out like many other people on here buying the top equipment
My problem is that the metre has got too quick for me & my reflexes are not as good as when i was younger (Im an old Bastage )
Truth is i always liked the speed of the Raptures but obviously could not continue with them if i had hopes of trying to win stroke play tournaments & compete at higher level
I have now dumped the R11 Taylormade irons & gone back to the Ping G10's because trying to cope with the metre was giving me a head ache, i dont think it will be long before i go back to Raptures @ least then i can relax a bit more & maybe start enjoying the game again like i did when i first started albeit no competitive
What i think would keep me interested is if we had a decent set of irons with a slow metre, i have seen many posts on here before from people requesting this so i would like to know if its been considered
But maybe if  World Golf Tour made a set of irons with the same attributes as the R11 Talormade irons but the Metre speed of say Raptures would this be fair ?
Anyway i hope ive got my point over, sometimes its difficult to write in a post how you feel, then again who gives a *** what i think  :)

Screwer  signing off but may  soon be seen playing Ctth comps with starter balls & G10 irons  :o)  until some decent irons for older slower bastages are made  :)
    P.s......... *** i sold my raptures   ;(

You've just summed up exactly how I feel Gladstone - I knew we were kindred spirits!

Only difference between us is I've stuck with the raptures. Just can't cope with the meter speed on the better ones. I'm just too old, and neither my reflexes or my eyesight can handle them.

Any chance of a senior tour WGT? I turn 50 next year.

The petition starts here so. I too could do with a slower set of irons, but fear it will never happen. Thing is, i aint old, i just cant handle a supersonic meter speed at all. The raptures are my fav as well, as these help out big time with the meter. Just lately i am using the level 35 (i think) R11 irons, but what i really need is the top end irons with a slower meter to try and get anywhere in this game.

Accurate clubs with slow meters would make this game far too easy. There has to be a line drawn somewhere. I agree with the Senior Tour idea though.

I feel the same I went from the Raptures ► G10s ► Burners. I barley got the G10 meter down and am trying to master the Burners meter. Maybe by the time I make LVL85 I'l have it down!

Would be nice but as mentioned in other threads "How do you verify age?"

I did think they would advance the G10s to G20s with a range of 120 to 215,they still wont be as good as TMs so this i thought would be a good addition for players like you and myself sometimes( still love my G10s and Raps) who can still compete with a tad slower meter and they would still be under the TMs in performance which would be acceptable for that meter speed,I have a similar problem handling the TM speed but music tends to lighten the intensity of playing them for me,LOL at least they could fix that 145 and 160 club on the g10:)

I agree with piztaker. The the game would be far too easy with slower meter speeds. The only beef I have is that as an owner of the complete set of R11's the fact that there are two different meter speeds makes it difficult at times to adjust. When you own a complete set IMO the meter speed should be the same for all clubs.

True...the meter speeds are different...but then again woods and irons are different in length, so one must adopt a slightly meter speed to create a virtual difference in swing pattern.

I'm not so sure Ping would accept  taking a backseat to the TMs in terms of performance, even though it's just a virtual setting. That would make potential buyers think the wrong thing.

I see your point TBE but why are the R11's the only club set to have different meter speeds?
