Even though I'm about to turn 60, the meter speed doesn't bother me. What does, is when you have your best 18 going, all fairways hit, all GIR's and then comes nbr 17 at SA.  14 mph tail wind dead at 12:00. Ding the drive down the middle and it barely rolls into the rough 50-60%. Knowing that 18 was a gimme, this just breaks your heart. Has happened twice now, almost identical scenarios. Oh well, try, try, again.

Donko58 is right about the R11 set when you buy a matching set of clubs the swing speed should all be the same not 2 swing speeds in real life clubs go by swing weight and all the clubs match woods / irons and wedges as well its nothing to do with the length of the clubs

The only beef I have is that as an owner of the complete set of R11's the fact that there are two different meter speeds makes it difficult at times to adjust.

True...the meter speeds are different...but then again woods and irons are different in length, so one must adopt a slightly meter speed to create a virtual difference in swing pattern.

I see your point TBE but why are the R11's the only club set to have different meter speeds?

well i can only imagine this is due to the fact that the r11 irons are so accurate & reliable (for now anyway lol).

would be wrong to have the drivers and irons (r11's) with a slow meter....the game would be so much easier which in my opinion would suck badly.

    TBE

I'm just too old, and neither my reflexes or my eyesight can handle them.

Any chance of a senior tour WGT? I turn 50 next year.

    Sean :-/

I feel the same I went from the Raptures ► G10s ► Burners. I barley got the G10 meter down and am trying to master the Burners meter. Maybe by the time I make LVL85 I'l have it down!

I agree with the Senior Tour idea though.

Would be nice but as mentioned in other threads "How do you verify age?"

one solution  maybee stupid maybee not(( WEB CAM  SKYPE) skype is free ,WC 25$  for fairly ok one, if like me you are holder ( 60)in my case, and realy like the game like me then, its one way to do something for senior ....i must say  i  have become used to faster meter speed ,    of courses easy to think this way ,,,then tomorrow,i may look at this and say  what the hell was i thinking ,from the responce i may get here ,i am just trying to help in my own litle (zig zag) way .....:)

I agree 100%. The game would suck badly if the meter speed of the irons were lowered. Maybe the speed of the Driver and 3 Wood needs to be increased to match but I'll bet a lot of people would disagree.....lol

LMAO. Look at the average age of the current tour players. You have no business complaining about the speed of the meter. If you're not good enough to handle it use the crippled clubs and accept your fate. Heh-that's probably why Palmer and Nicklaus, et al, can't compete on the PGA tour today. Kinda like WGT, in a way.

Case in point-look at the age of the Open winners here.   ;-)

So the kids win again YJ. Damn it's tough getting old. I'll keep whacking the young gun clubs. It's only money. If I was 30 yrs younger I would be spending it on wild women instead of virtual golf balls. Life is what you make it. Do I want to shoot a round on here that I know is impossible in real golf, hell no, Am I shooting rounds on here that I know I could never shoot in real life, hell yes. Again, it's all relevant--, or not.  Pay to play and enjoy. Or as some of the less considerate say, just quit. I am not one of the inconsiderate, so I never said just quit.
