Pausing the game in Multiplayer mode?

  Is there a way to pause the game in multiplayer mode? 

  While playing with friends, sometimes one of us needs to go away from the computer for 5 minutes or so and we can't get around having a penalty stroke or having the game kick one of us out if it is too long.

  Is there a way around this to allow a player to be away from the game for an extended time and then resume where we left off?

  I don't think it matters when in "practice mode" multi-player games.I might be wrong but someone will stop by and give you the correct information if I am.

  No, currently it is not possible to pause a multiplayer game.
