I'm having big problems putting on Tournament Greens. What is the rating for these please? Is it Ultra Fast? If so, how much faster than Fast or Standard?

    Cheers!

If it is an uphill putt beyond 12 foot use 80% of distance, short uphill puts up to 10 ft use 100% of distance. Downhill start at 77% and go down 3% for each 1 inch of downhill elevation, should help. Heavy winds can affect the put, if over 15 ft or so.

For tournament greens........ multiply the distance by .7 add or subtract elevation then add 2.

example: 12ft. putt with elevation 3in. uphill to hole, putt it to go 13.4 ft

    12 x .7 =  8.4 + 3  = 11.4 +2 = 13.4 ft.

example: 12ft. putt with elevation 2in. down hill to hole. putt it to go 8.4 ft.

    12 x .7 = 8.4 - 2 = 6.4 + 2 = 8.4

example: 12ft. putt with no elevation to hole, putt it to go 10.4 ft.

    12 x .7 = 8.4 + 2 = 10.4 ft.

very fast greens, same calculation but multiply distance by .8

this equation works for all distances

note that uphill putts will not break as much as downhill putts, the more uphill the putt the harder you are hitting it, so the less it will break. the more downhill the putt the less you are hitting it, therefore, the more it will break.

    alot of numbers up there

    tourny greens. multiply by .3

    multiply 20 x .3 = 6

    20 - 6 = 14 ft . hit the putt 14 ft

add or subtract a foot for uphill/down
