I play on iPad as much as I do Desktop and I want to suggest making the beads on the putting grid larger! It's tough to read the speed of the dots because they are sooo tiny. It's misleading and causes many more missed putts than necessary. The size of the beads on the desktop version is a great start!

I don't have an iPad but you could try switching the in game resolution to its lowest setting, 1024x768, and the in game display mode to fullscreen.

If it looks dreadful at that resolution, try going up the resolutions until it looks acceptable and the dots are easier to see.

The (clickable) image to the right shows the game at two resolutions on my PC, top 1024x768, bottom 1920x1200.

EDIT : Considering Rob's contribution (below) it doesn't look as though changing the resolution will do anything, but as users can have their devices set up in so many different ways it might still be worth trying.

⇩  EDIT : Thank you Mr T. Unfortunately it doesn't look like this one is going to help the OP, sadly. ; )  ⇩

They should hire you Scott as you have helped more people than the company experts

For years, I've played on an IPad and have never noticed a difference. Dots seem fine to me.

Still, I tried changing iPad display zoom setting (from default to larger text). I didn't notice a difference. I also looked at putting grid and dots on my iPhone. Again, I don't see a difficulty in seeing/reading dots.

Below is a screencast of a putting green using my iPhone. Reason I didn't record on my iPad is it's a Pro with 12.9 inch screen. I thought maybe larger screen might make a difference. For me, it really doesn't. While dots are not overly large, they seem fine to me on both iPhone and iPad.

And, as an aside, I don't have the greatest eyesight anymore.

If you change the in game resolution on the iPad Rob, do the dots change then?

The native resolution of the game is: 1024 x 768.

All the rest resolutions are pseudo resolutions based on the native. There is no 1366 x 768 real resolution. There is no real 1920 x 1080 resolution.

The only real of the above resolutions is the use of CGI (avatar, flag, balls, wind indicator, grids, dots etc). So...the game works backwards. If you want to have the tiniest dots or thinest grid lines, go with 1920 x 1080. If you want to have the biggest grid lines and dots go with 1024 x 768 and set your monitor to the lowest resolution (on PCs usually is 640 x 480).

    No. It had no effect.

Yes, no change on iPad. I just wish there was a way to change the visibility. I play on both desktop and mobile so there is a discrepancy. Maybe it's noticeable to others but to me it makes one.

iPads have high resolutions by default, so I could see that being the reason that they are smaller.

Change your ipad's resolution to minimum supported one.
