I'm kinda beyond the Absolute Need to drop my average, but I do check. Just played a Best of Par Four, and the needle moved. I was under the impression that custom courses - including Best of 3,4 or 5 - didn't count. Can you confirm?

The BoP4 does count because the course score is 72, a normal golf course score. Whereas the BoP3 and BoP5 are 54 and 90 respectively, which would skew your average abnormally, therefore they don't count.

    ScottHope:

It's all about the par for the course tnivka.

Playing devil's advocate - If it's all about the par for the course, why can someone make their own Par 72 Custom CC Course and it will not count?

    I have a slight clarification.

It's not just about par. Country club custom courses don't count, regardless if par falls within stated range.

On discussion boards, when people state custom courses don't count, they're referring to courses created by players using "Country Club Course Builder" option.

Guys, that's actually quite helpful. Thank you. The one thing I have yet to try is arm myself with distance balls and attack a par-5 course...just in the interest of science, mind you.
