  Hey...just wondering something the other day. I have a pretty good driver and yet i frequently play guys who out drive me by 30-40 yds.  What do they know that i don't know?  Thanks for any help

  They have a higher level Swing Edge hat and aren't using starter balls?  Your L96 driver should be no more than 4-10 yds behind the L102 driver, all else being equal.  Also try adding about 75% backspin with your starter ball to maximize carry.

  All of the advice in this Thread is accurate and true.

  However, play the course not your opponent.

  The Callaway Epic Speed Driver [L96+] that you are using is a very forgiving driver existing the same specifications as the current Level [96+] Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond Driver.

  I recommend upgrading to the current Level [96+] Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond Driver to stay current with technology and your Level/Tier.

  Both drivers can produce dynamic drives at the 250 yards, 260 yards, and 287-300 yards with the later existing better technology, thus better dynamic drives.

  Apparel for boosting game play has it's place in certain areas of the game but renders fantasy simulation rather than reality simulation.

  The name of the game is Position not Distance.

  So allow the virtual golf ball to the work for you by complimenting your equipment and style of play. Sure, handsome, stylish hats always look good, but with the right equipment dynamic shots allow for position and reality.

  I have sent you a sleeve of dynamic virtual golf balls and a friend invite.

  Thank you so much...really appreciate it. And I agree with 100 percent of what you say about positioning over length...nothing more satisfying than sticking a 5 iron to 2 yds while your opponent ends up at 5 yds away with an 8 iron. The only reason i brought it up was that i have had a couple of times recently where i lost games simply because I could not reach par 5s in 2 while my opponent could. Thanks again!!

  He already has the L96 Epic Speed driver which is EXACTLY the same as the L96 Elyte Triple Diamond (other than the color/appearance), so unless he just wants to blow some credits that would be useless.  Personally, I'd get more enjoyment from setting fire to the money, but to each their own.

  I'd recommend saving your credits and waiting for the L102.  The L99 you're coming up on is not worth the upgrade either, in fact I had both and actually preferred the L96.

  I respectfully disagree with you BlackBogey in regards to the L96 Epic Speed driver being EXACTLY the same as the L96 Elyte Triple Diamond driver in spite of the fact that both drivers exist the exact same specifications.

  Being that technology has improved the latest L96 Elyte Driver indicates that the driver is now truer to it's listed specifications or better.

  For example, I own the Callaway Ai Smoke L100 Irons. However, when the Callaway Elyte L100 Irons were available in the World Golf Tour Pro Shop I purchased them immediately to stay current with the technology and current with my Tier.

  Now, both L100 Iron sets exist the EXACT same specifications, however, because of technology improvements, the L100 Elyte is truer to the listed specifications and the 7 Iron in the Elyte set is a GEM! The best 7 Iron I have ever used or owned here at World Golf Tour.

  As technology improves, the product improves. Reading the World Golf Tour Stock Reviews of the products will indicate that there is a better quality product replacing the previous product.

  I strongly recommend upgrading equipment to the latest technology and Tier of player. Except for virtual golf balls. Virtual golf balls are personal. Find a virtual golf ball that best compliments your equipment and style of play and then stick with it.

  Please do not confuse Level with Tier.

  Someone looking after my wallet - thanks!! And I do like my current driver...just wish it was a bit longer. But then i checked others and this IS one of the longest out there so I was trying to figure out how I'm still so much shorter than some others. Thanks for the tips!!
