Can't Get Game To Open On Mac After WGT Update

I've been playing WGT Golf for two years on my Mac. In fact, I played as recently as last night. When I opened the game most recently after that update the game would not open properly and the screen would flutter. I tried several times and rebooted the computer but the problem remained.

I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it from the WGT website by clicking on the "MacOS" download button as I've always done. Even thought my Mac does not have an M1 chip it has worked without an issue for over two years.

The program downloaded and installed yet when I now open the program there is an error msg. saying System IO.IOException: Not a directory.

Called Apple, but they won't assist with third party software. The initial problem began with the Sonoma OS, but, at the suggestion of Apple, I updated the Mac to Sequoia 15.3.1 yet the problem remains.

I've rebooted and reinstalled the game several times. Same issue. Sent an email to WGT, but no response as of yet.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Same issue and still on Sonoma. I did receive a response wondering if I had fixed it myself :/ Big bummer.

It was working fine about an hour earlier. I closed out the game and restarted it about an hour later. The WGT launcher performed an automatic update. It hasn't worked since the update.

Have you had any issues on the Mac with the WGT screen resolution changing after you quit the game and reopen it? I have played this game for two years on my Mac. About two months ago, the screen resoltion in the WGT settings would change. The selection would remain 2920 x1080, but it was opening as if the setting had changed to a smaller resolution. I had to manually change the setting from 1920 x1080 to something else, save that change and then change it back to 1920 x 1080 and it would be fine until I closed and reopened WGT.

The strange part is that it only happens occasionally.

I contacted WGT and was advised they were aware that this problem was occurring occasionally with some users and they would look into it. Never has been resolved nor have they updated me on it.

I sent this latest issue to them about 4 days ago and there has been no response.
