They won't be perfect golf balls until they have 5 dots in every category.  Can you imagine?

And if players keep requesting them, WGT will eventually implement five dot across the board golf balls for $6.50 a sleeve, can you imagine? lol : )

That's enough money for a medium Seattle's finest cup of coffee isn't it Mocha?

Yes, that would cover the price of the medium mocha, or a small double mocha.  But wouldn't pay for Pujols to have stayed with the Cardinals.  (Having grown up in Ferguson-Florissant it was celebration time out here with my young son when the Cards won the World Series!)  (Now the Mariners have to face Pujols 18 or more games every year... uggh.)

Hi Gary... I remember playing in the woods as a kid, sandlot baseball, the golf courses of the area and getting married in St. Charles.

    parity is important.

Parity! Really...... when are we gonna stop spreading that stupid crap. Here are the facts. There is no parity in life or anything else, so get over it.

Some people are more talented than others while some are more gifted than others. Some are brain smart while others are better in sports. Some have more money than others. Look at what we have done to our children. It used to be the winner got a trophy but now we give everyone a participation trophy so that it will not hurt their feelings.Really.... Winning and loosing is part of life people. You can have equal opportunity (chance in life) to achieve something but there is no level playing field. As in real life WGT is no different. Some have more skill than others, some have more money to spend here than others, so WHAT! I am sorry but this crap just pisses me off.

When we try to make everyone equal all we do is make everyone equally miserable. My two cents.

Not referring to skill or talent, only level playing fields. Between the tiers, clubs, and now ultra premium balls, and the large portion of "Bankrolled" players, WGT is completely upside down.

But that is part of what I meant. Look, I play with the best clubs, the best balls on here and still I am not one of the top players. This stuff only does so much. It is no different if I went out and bought the best golfing equipment there is or had the best instructors. It is what it is my friend.

    They will last you forever

YJ does make some good points.  The thing is, when I was noodling out loud on the forums about whether to upgrade from my G10s to the Tour Burner 2.0s, I think YJ made the same argument.  Forever lasted a couple of months, and now there better irons out there, and if I don't keep up with the Jones, I'll...

    YankeeJim:
become some sort of plodding along Legend, getting run over by everybody

My biggest problem is that, between the tier differences, the lack of any tangible advantages to being a higher tier, the random winds for each player for each hole, and WGTs own inconsistencies, be that shot results (random variations), wind variations (one 194y iron into a 15mph headwind goes 186, the next one goes 172), meter glitches, etc, the best player in a given round doesn't necessarily shoot the best score.  I can invest $30 in that iron set, but that bump still wouldn't be as significant to my chances of winning as another player getting favorable winds in one RG, or another hitting from a closer tee in another forum.  And the new balls, being available to everyone of the requisite level, only amplify that issue.  If there is anything I love less than watching someone with my driver and a better ball than mine hit from tees 60y in front of mine, it's playing a single play tourney and getting headwinds on 8 of the 9 holes, and knowing damn well that someone else likely got tailwinds on 7 of 9 and played on effectively a 300y or so shorter course than I did.  And if I get these irons, in a few months there will be others for $40, and as someone mentioned, $6.00 Titlists or $5.00 Nike Legend balls with the durability nirfed.  The company needs to keep making money, but the new customer stream is not infinite, and the ball profits as they are don't cut it...

It doesn't end.  It's not worth it.

    DylynJ:

If you have the TM burners or r11 clubs... the high level CG wedges.. all you really need is a b-xd ball.

I've played at least 6 consecutive games now where i've out-driven(on the fairway) players using the same driver (88 r11) with b-xd balls vs. their nike's and callaway's.

    A glitch, perhaps?

No glitch. If they were legends then their tees are as much as 50 yards or more further back than the master/tour master tees that you are on. Play a practice round at any of the courses from the legend tees with high winds and you will see why the longer balls are needed. The B-XD ball is good from the shorter tees but when you move back to the championship tees they just don't cut it even with the best clubs.

    A bit off-topic,

Yeah, a lot of people were upset that Pujols left the Cardinals for more money after he said it wasn't about the money, but St. Louis baseball tradition. Oh well. We got David "Batman" Freese now. The Cardinals are already heavily favored to win the 2012 pennant as well.
