    parity is important.

Parity! Really...... when are we gonna stop spreading that stupid crap. Here are the facts. There is no parity in life or anything else, so get over it.

Some people are more talented than others while some are more gifted than others. Some are brain smart while others are better in sports. Some have more money than others. Look at what we have done to our children. It used to be the winner got a trophy but now we give everyone a participation trophy so that it will not hurt their feelings.Really.... Winning and loosing is part of life people. You can have equal opportunity (chance in life) to achieve something but there is no level playing field. As in real life WGT is no different. Some have more skill than others, some have more money to spend here than others, so WHAT! I am sorry but this crap just pisses me off.

When we try to make everyone equal all we do is make everyone equally miserable. My two cents.

Not referring to skill or talent, only level playing fields. Between the tiers, clubs, and now ultra premium balls, and the large portion of "Bankrolled" players, WGT is completely upside down.

For $4.50 a sleeve, shouldn't paying customers be given the opportunity to choose how many dots of feel they want on the Nike golf balls?

After giving thought to these golf balls, I've decided that three dots of feel will make the meter to slow for my liking, even if they are free. I like the attributes of the Nike ball, but for 450 credits, WGT should give us a choice of how many dots of feel each player feels comfortable with, that's all. For now I'll stick with the level 45+ Callaways and the GI2-SD2 golf balls, free.

    Dots of feel:

    0

    .5

    1

    1.5

    2

    2.5

    3

this question was originally for Thunderbird, but i forgot to quote:

    thunderbird:

I want to step in here and say my two cents.  I know WGT is not a non-profit company so they are here to make money.  At this point they have taken a step in a different direction in pricing.  At 4.50 for 36 to 37 holes per ball so about 6-18 hole rounds and 12 9 hole rounds.  Officially they are able to charge for playing golf.  Yes, I know that I don't have to use them.  Figure now that it cost you .45 and .75 cents for playing the nike a round.  Crazy when you think about.  On a good day I might play 7-9 rounds.  That means 4.50 dollars a day.  That means I will spend around 1,200 dollars a year.  If I don't play any ready go's  and make some money thats asking too much for a online game.  Right now I am average about .40 cents in profit for an rg.  So in reality I am now going to have to play nearly ten rg's a day to play for free.

I might have to go out and buy a PS3 at those prices.

So what do you do from here?  you're probably one of the better players, carrying a 60 average as a legend.  don't forget that if you just keep going "business as usual" you're probably going to see less profit from RG's since others will be using the Nike's and scoring better.  so the "normal" balls you've been paying for won't stack up, inevitably you're going to be spending more on this game than before, whether or not you buy nike balls or not.

Yeah, I was wonderin' about that too!  If they are free, you wouldn't be considered a paying customer and therefore not entitled to choose the number of dots.  Don't we have to keep buying balls every week?

Andyson, what makes you think I'm entitled to choose the number of feel dots on the Nike golf balls in the first place, are you for real? You may have to use your cash to buy golf balls every week, I use earned credits by completing surveys to make my golf ball purchases.

@Jim, I complete surveys everyday that funds my golf balls, I'd say that makes the golf balls free. I keep around 30 level 45+ Callaways in my bag at all times, free! : )

Edit: Just so anyone didn't think I was telling a fib. Free!

    Merry Christmas Ladies and Gentlemen!

Now Richard4168, everybody knows you don't work for free. That is, unless you consider your time worth nothing. Then I guess the balls would be free, yes.

Personally, I think you're trying to say you don't spend your hard earned real money on this game, any more. Whatever works.

Not whining, just stating facts.  And I am glad I don't play in premium events anymore.

I never started playing here to win anything.  I started playing here because I enjoy playing video golf.  At one point, I was spending $20-30 a week here, more on weeks when I bought equipment.  But there are soo many inequities, and inconsistencies, and WGT is soo unresponsive to them, that it just isn't worth it to me.  Now, I buy a sleeve of i(s) regulars every 4 or 5 days.  I play a round of alt shot, or a random tourney, or just a practice to get my bonus, and I have fun.  My bonus today will get me to 90, but I've no intention of upgrading my irons, the Tour Burners 2.0 work just fine for my purposes.

I have given up hope that WGT will address what I see are major problems with the tier system and levels.  The fact that with level bump ups added, they made it even easier for lower tier players to get better equipment, which is only going to make it easier for sand-baggers and dual accounters is just so completely deaf to the voices of their customers it's mind-boggling.  So, I came to the conclusion that WGT wasn't worth the investment I was making.
