  can any1 tell me why when i get birdys and at the end of a game my handycap does not go down

  its because youve had a 38 a 41 a 37 and 39 you need to get 33 and under for score to go down

  I know you say you understand, but just to be clear, it's not a handicap.  It's just a score average.   Shoot score below your average and it will go down.   Just in case you didn't know,  9 hole scores get doubled for average purposes so a 35(just a random number for reference) will be doubled and used as a score of 70 for your average.

  Eventually, your average will stop going up with bad scores until you reach the next tier so don't be afraid of posting bad scores.  This will only help you learn the game better before promoting to the next tier.

  thanks for that my average has started to go down again so i must be doing something right i never used to stop playing i always finished ,inever quit a game no mater what score i get i will continue now to post scores
