One of the best players in the game Mr. Jakestanstill7 brought this up a while back to where he wanted the tourney speeds to be numbered.
Example: Tourney speed 1 and so on.
His post is here somewhere but I don't the have time to look it up or I would give you the link.
It is my understanding though that each tier has its own tourney speed. Don't take this as being true but it seemed like it to me while I was moving up the ladder.
