A few credits for bringing new paying players to this site.

  Just a small reward for bringing new paying customers to the site.

  Basically when someone joins, on the sign up screen you have a spot where they enter in how they found out about the website. (which this helps you to also see which of your marketing techniques is actually working, ie. found it through another website and which one, newspaper ad, etc)

  If they choose "referred by person", a new window appears where they enter in the username of the person that referred them.

  Once and IF this person actually spends 10 dollars, the person that referred them to the site gets a one-time bonus of 100 credits (or something along those lines, enough to buy some balls, credits being re-used in any case).

  I can't see the downfall of this in any fashion, its a win-win. I dont think it can be cheated as a kickback doesnt happen unless the new person actually spends money so someone setting up multiple accounts to game the system doesnt benefit.

  I potentially could bring many new customers in short order and will be curious about a WGT response to this suggestion.

  Yes. If you send a gift to a non-WGT member and that person registers to become a member you will receive a free sleeve of WGT GI-D golf balls. Then, if that person spends $10 or more in WGT you will receive 200 credits in your account as a bonus!

  Thanks Marioh. Yeah I knew about this one and should have mentioned that, partly where I got the idea.

  I dont see why they want you to spend money (and the gift has to be purchased, it cant be something that you already own) just to get something back, not really very fair IMO considering you brought them new business.

  I think what I suggested is more fair to both parties and not just mostly beneficial to WGT.

  I mean we are talking about completely new business and new revenue for WGT that they would not of had otherwise. Many of these people once they spend 10 dollars will go on to spend at least another 20 or 30 more dollars so a small reward (without having to buy anything yourself, most people will already be paying customers) like 100 or 200 credits is really just that, small in comparison. It also is something that cant be cashed or gifted and will just be respent in the proshop anyway.

  Agreed !

  Though I do think you can probably gift the cheapest balls (which cost 10cr IIRC) and get a sleeve of GI-D balls in return (at the least) and perhaps even 200cr, which isn't that bad of a tradeoff for the current system.

  I also agree that we should be able to gift equipment already in our inventory.
