  I have been asking this question for years to thousands of people...lol. in Facebook and nobody knows....lol...

  Who Left the Cake out In the Rain? .... in McArthur Park.

  If your not sure what I'm talking about... most of my good friends will always say, I've lost it....lol.... Google McArthur Park and see what yo come up with?

  I just heard Donna Summers disco version of that this morning, back in the day, I would have loved to leave her cake out in the rain. Shame on me.

  HA!. Anyone here been to MacArthur's park? It's a lake in the most unlikely of places, a few blocks from Dodger Stadium in the concrete part of LA. Used to be a great hangout for hippies in the 60s.  :-D

  Yes shame on you renn....lol, that's  too funny.  Not a bad version of the song, my favorite is the Richard Harris version.

  Maybe cake refers to something unspongelike.

  Great lyrics though.
