Please can someone tell me how to use the Wedges? I am struggling to hit them right on the edge of the Green and in the Sandpits.

There is a very good post in the forums called '' Tips on chipping, pitching a flops''

Well worth a read. Some very useful info in it. Helped me tremendously.

One tip I can give you though, which I found very helpful, Do not use any less than 75% of your meter strength for any of these shots. it just won't work. And do not try to chip any further than 2ft off the green. They just will not reach. If you are any more than that distance, use a pitch or a flop. Punches are quite useful as well. Try them out in practice.

    Check it out.

I use "pitch" a ton (7 to 20 yards w/ any lie) - then I go to flop - then punch - then full.

"Pitch" even works pretty well out of decent sand lies - not very helpful @ ccc or oakmont though

test your shortest wedge pitching out of different lies @ about 2/3 power using full backspin.  I get about 12 yards from this shot and adjust power from there if needed

read the shot using your putter & reverse cam to get the "grid" (don't forget to switch back)

Here's a link to that post I was referring to:

It's called ''How to use Wedges'' by the way. My mistake.

    Hope you find it helpful

The post mentioned earlier in the thread is comprehensive. Should be required reading.

I also wrote a blog entry on my profile called "Most important greenside shots to learn" that you may find helpful.
