Z Satin Question

  Is there any noticeable difference between the Level 39 and the Level 64 Z Satins, other than distance?  the specs are the same, so I'm really not understanding the advantages of upgrading (at least until I

  Basically what I am wondering is, is there any reason at all to purchase the level 64 Z Satins if you can best fill in the gaps in your clubs with the level 39s?

  The specs are the same, so I'm really not understanding the advantages of upgrading until I upgrade my irons and need the extra wedge distances

  get the cleveland wedges they are awesome along with high end r11 driver 3 wood and high end r11 irons

  Yes. Those 2 oilcan wedges perform way better than the others with the same specs. I carried both of them for a very long time (until the CGs showed up) and they are definitely worth getting. Unfortunately, the only way you would know this is by playing them.

  There's a reason they're not available until level 64 and cost more.  :-)

  Absolutely...That 60* degree has been my fav. for a long time. A Taylor-Made  rac  64* degree would probably remove the CG16 from my bag. Nothing at all against the Cleveland ,  it's just ,  I love those TM's. Always have.  Nice wedges.

  in what way are they noticeably better and why would the specs be listed exactly the same?

  for all I know, WGT charges more just because of the increased distance they give and because they know people will buy them

  I was planning on getting the CGs, but right now I am sitting at level 71 and I do not plan on upgrading my irons until I get the big R11s (just no point in spending the credits now when I can wait patiently), so some nice gap fillers until this happens would be nice to have - i have just made do up to this point

  the level 39 Z Satins are relatively cheaper and would fill the gap nicely until I unlock all of the CGs

  I'm fairly certain I can make it to Legend with the Z satins, but because of their price and the steep learning curve I've read about, just thought about getting the CGs earlier so I could start getting used to them

  You definitely can. I used 4 wedges, all Satins, until the CGs came out. The 110yard Satin won't do you much good when you get the R11s as that set wedge goes 120 and punches 103. The other one is very much worth it. 

  As for how they are different, the best example I can remember is on BPB 6, that long par 4 with the fairway that slopes radically down just past the traps. Quite often you overshoot it into 30/40 rough. That 90 played like a fairway lie from there. Rough didn't bother it anything like the other ones.

  Also, I'm not sure where you got the hard learning curve and CGs but they're not that hard to master very quickly. The hardest thing about learning any of them came from the 10 yard difference in the 64s. The Satin64 is so reliable it made it hard to add 10 yards and relearn the shots but once you do you forget about the Satin.

  so would you suggest that I just continue to suck it up for a few more levels until I unlock the CGs?

  I'm currently only carrying the level 14 54 and 60 degree Z Satins, so I'm trying to mark the smartest decision, while not just mindlessly wasting credits in the long run

  You have a ways to go because those CGs only open up to you one at a time. If you want a preview of coming attractions look at the Ping64W-it's pretty close to the CG and you can get it now. Then there's very little learning curve when you upgrade later. In any case, I would get a 64W right now, I'm surprised you don't have one. The Satin would probably fit best with what you have now with the higher level 60W (77 yds) right next to it.

  I do already have the Z Satin 64W - I did not mention it because I have no plans of replacing it any time soon

  right now, I have a 110 PW, 85 54W (+14), 65 60W (+14), 50 54W (+39)

  I am trying to decide if it is worth it to replace the 54W and 60W now, or just wait until I unlock the CG counter parts at +76 and +78

  the main consideration is trying to make the best decision, without wasting credits, because I'll eventually be getting the CGs anyway sometime down the road

  Never ever replace this club. It's like a magic wand and there is nothing better available in the pro shop.
