I am getting pretty frustrated and fed up here so I hope I am doing something wrong, though I fail to see what it could be.

So I aim straight at the pin and hit a "perfect" shot and the ball doesn't start on line. What's up with that? I hope I can get some great advice as to what I am doing wrong. Cause if that's the coding of the game, having some kind of randomness to the line even when you hit a perfect hit... Well let's just say I fail to see the point of that.

Beautiful looking game but like I said I hope I am doing something terribly wrong cause if that's the level of control in the game....

You shouldn't forget the wind. You can see the direction and the strength at the right top.

I do consider the wind, but that's not the problem, the problem is that the ball starts  off line very often. Feels like some kind of randomizer but I hope it's a bug and not a randomizer.

The club set that is available right now is a "beginner" set and is not designed to hit the ball perfectly every time, even with a perfect swing.  New club sets that will be coming out will provide improved distance, accuracy, spin...etc.

I've had a few shots, and they seem to be in the first few holes (1 ??) where I've had a right-to-left wind and slightly hooked the ball on the swing, but the ball still manages to go right of the flag.

I've been really really busy lately and haven't played much at all lately, but I've noticed the problems with the chip shots haven't been worked out.  Had a 13 yard shot on 9 to the hole, had the 13-yard distance chip club, and knowing what I knew from the earlier versions, I hit it with half power.  It went 6 yards.  So I thought perhaps the kinks with chipping had been worked out, and hit the 13 yard chip with half power again (now 7 yards to the hole), and of course it went 11 yards and right by the hole.  And then far enough away from the hole that I double-putted and my even score going into 9 of course ended up +2.

The 5-putt on #2 was what did me in though, and that was ridiculous.  That's always been one of the easier holes, and greens.  3 of the 5 putts were within 2-3 feet of the hole and kept missing for some reason.  Have the latest updates made the putting even harder and less predictable than the previous beta versions?  Seems like it.

Yes i've noticed the problem with aim on a lot of "perfect" shots - it always seems to fire the ball off ot the right, regardless of wind, which is really frustrating. Can i have a set of decent irons please?

I kind of fail to see your point on the fact the the clubs a beginer clubs and therefore wont hit the ball correctly each time.  Give me a break, the point of real clubs for a beginer is that they are more forgiving, not that they will send the ball off line on what is a correct swing.  I can understand that more advanced clubs will allow more distance and spin control, but give me a break.  If you want people to use your product, make the game actualy enjoyable and reward the player when they swing perfectly, like what would happen in real life

Frankly knowing this information that where I aim has no brearing on anything, I probably will stop using your product, free or not, its just not enjoyable.

I would also look at how you determine distance, it seems any shot that is not perfect loses all its carry, even if it is within the sweet spot.  Trust me, if I hit my real 3 iron just slightly off it may lose 10 yards, but it certainly wont suddenly only go  only 90 yards as it seems to in this game.  Mishits yes, in the sweet spot but not perfecly centered in it...no

I think the current system is pretty good - it's not too hard to hit a perfect shot with the speed the meter moves and if doing that guaranteed a perfectly straight strike with no error in direction or distance then it would be far too easy to get close to the pin every time. It's possible to scores a long way under par as it is. Once better clubs are available (presumably with a faster meter), it will be harder to hit perfect swings but the shot will then be closer to what you were aiming for.

The one thing I do find very frustrating though is that the random error applies to putts as well - making it possible to miss a straight 5 foot putt when your aim is on target. But then I guess that happens in real golf as well!

Yes I have noticed that a lot on putts and it is very frustrating.  I think it happens a little too often on putts and it seems that when you line up the aim on the edge of the hole it really is lined up outside of the hole because of the odd angles that you are often aiming based on.  I almost wish for putts that you could just select the distance to the right or left of the cup to aim.  For instance two balls to the right or 10 inches to the left.
