Why are clubs set as level instead of tier?

  I think all things in the shop should be by tier not level, i could be a level 88 pro using level 88 r11 which is wrong.

  It would seem to me that it is simply a revenue issue. More sales to more people. Think of it this way--> Can you buy the same equipment in real golf that the PGA tour pros use? We can buy the equipment but we can't buy the game.

  They make balls that only Legends can purchase, so with all this Nike stuff coming, maybe they should start making ALOT better equipment for Legends, to help with distance from the tee's.

  More cash for wgt!! I thought for sure there would be better balls for different tiers coming out to equal up  the playing field for the clubs that lower tier players have now.

  i'm a crap legend and i don't need it, it's really not that bad from the back sticks. i just need to learn how to putt.

  but to answer your original question - it's all down to money mate. a sad direction this game has taken over time that is ruining it.

  *edit* - it would probably be better to say legends don't need any better equipment than the top level stuff available now. if you've tiered up to legend and haven't got the XP to get the R11 range then you have my sympathies, lol

  That's how things use to be,  back before they had the level system.  More money for WGT this way,   just think there needs to be a mixture of the two ......

   

  Level X and Tier /  to get certain equipment.

  I have seen this posted alot since playing and I agree that WGT has to make money so making equips avalible to all once you achive X Level makes sense. The #1 thing I would like to see WGT change though is they should add a Level or tier requirement. My example is as follows  you have the uber gamer doing really well and hit Legend by level 65, there is no reason that all equipments shouldnt unlock once you reach legend as you have reached the top of the game. In this case if the player does this you are costing yourself money the player may lose intrest as he or she is a fair amount away from level 88 or 90+ where the equipment the legend needs is avalible.

  So WGT wake up and make the equipment Level or Tier specific, personally I have a great guy in my CC that is a level 52 Master and theres no reason he shouldnt be able to P/U some lvl 60 Pings or lvl 62 TM's as they are the equips needed to play well at that level.

  It's selling multiple sets of clubs to the same peeps as they climb the level ladder. You may trade up every few years in real life, but you know that the new clubs aren't really going to make you a great golfer. In this game the clubs can dramatically up your game, so you buy into it. Also known as drinking the koolaid.
