My last e-mail from them said that they are still trying to fix the problems.

The fact that WGT has a defective product in Skins, yet still continues to offer it as if it functioned properly is more than enough reason to rant.

WGT is perilously close to criminal negligibility with regard to the skins game.

    Hi

the game is in beta mode for a reason. We are continually trying to fix it. It is our #1 priority. yhat's why we always ask users to submit detailed bug reports via in game options and then email us additional details &/or screenshots.

I understand you all are frustrated but we want make sure it works 100% every time for everyone as well.

Having read so many posts on this matter, wouldn't you say that the game came out in the very first instance, as "fixed"?

    ...

I dont think anyone questions the fact, that game is still in beta Icon.

However ... and this is a big however.
When you (WGT) continues to offer a game mode, which requires payment ... either in form of players using free or paid-for-with-real-money Cr, they no longer only exist as players, but becomes paying customers.
For that reason alone, it would be appropriate for WGT to remove the Cr winnings, untill the errors with the game mode is fixed.
Make it a f2p mode with no earnings except xp and rankings. This will probably make fewer players play the mode, but as a mean of income for WGT, it would also mean that even more effort would, hopefully, be put into fixing that issue.

One could argue that it is a scam, as long as people invest game currency into something flawed.
This has nothing to do with the fact, that WGT isnt trying to fix the issues.
But it has got everything to do with respect for the very people who provide a livelyhood for the game and its programmers.

As a sidenote ... if I had a business who kept on offering a flawed product for money, how long do you think I would stay in business?

Do you read these forums? Have you seen the "I lost 6500 credits", "I lost 2500 credits" and so on posts?

Your business model, albeit correct, does not reflect life here:)

It's a real pi$$ off when someone unfortunately gets pumped for their skins due to one glitch or another and it's happened to me, but I try to look at the bigger picture.

There must be literally 1000's of skins games going on daily /weekly etc.......and if only a relatively disproportionate amount incur the odd glitch, then no matter how unlucky that may seem, they need to contact WGT with the bug report so that it can be looked into in order to try and iron them out of the game as well as refund the credits where applicable.

WGT are not psychic. They need to be informed if someone's lost skin credits etc and will look into it and will exact skin credit refunds to correct the situation.

It's all fair and well asking WGT to take down the skins game or remove the credit function from the game until all the bugs are ironed out.....but to the vast majority of folks who've been fortunate enough to avoid the glitches/errors, then this would serve as a pi$$ off too.

If people get errors... email WGT and submit error reports. If WGT do nothing about it, sure, come into the forums and squeal the place down.

I don't buy into the "I bet WGT are making a ton of $$$ due to the skins games errors" etc, because although the onus is on WGT to correct the errors, it is also down to the players to report a problem if they get pumped out of credits so that WGT can at least have the opportunity to take a look into the issue in order to correct it.

For sure, maybe some folks will experience a lengthier delay than others will in getting a response back from WGT via email but they'll get replied to eventually.

It's better to try and work the problem....not work against it.

If I've played 50 skins games and only had 1 problem that got sorted out then 1 in 50 seems an acceptable ratio for me meantime whilst WGT go about trying to iron them out of the game.

TBE - with all due respect, programmers should thoroughly test their software before releasing it.  But obviously some errors will slip through.  Then, the rogue software should be regressed and fixed before allowing unsuspecting customers into its pitfalls.

    An analagy...

A customer has problems with the brakes on his/her car and takes it back to the dealer.  They find a design/manufacturing problem.  But, hey, it's only one customer out of millions, and that customer didn't suffer too greatly.  Another 10 customers have exactly the same problem, which obviously they would as it's a design/manufacturing problem.  But that number is still only a drop in the ocean when looking at the car manufacturer's sales.  Would you want to be the one for whom the result wasn't to be able to drive to the dealer to tell them???

When I was programming we had errors, of course we did.  Fixing of errors was prioritised, but any that included money and were affecting customers, were fixed asap and the software re-released.  If it could not be done quickly then that part of the software would be taken 'out of service' until such time it could be used as intended.

It shouldn't be difficult to remove the 'playing for credits' part, and if it's a major source of income for WGT, they will find the time and resources to fix the problem rather quicker than is being done at present.

PS  I don't play skins, and certainly not for credits.  I do wonder though, if people know it's a problem why do they keep playing it.  If you're going to take chances, you've got to face up to the consequences.
