I can't seem to get the match with my opponent going for the 2nd round.  I befriended him, sent him a message posted on the wall and I see that you posted on his wall.  He has been active and I have been on the site every day.  At some point and time I think we need to say that it is the responsibility of both players to set up a match and that one player should not have to continue to attempt to do so.

Well Bootsie, it's been a phenomenal and creative tournament. Very enjoyable and I made a few friends along the way. But it's time for me to say my goodbyes for now on behalf of the Legends of the U.N. BigCountry317 and I finally did manage to meet up and play our. And boy.....you talk about consistency! I haven't seen consistency like that since playing Bolloxinbruges! We both managed to keep the game AS up until about the 4th hole where BigCountry took the lead. He extended his lead on the 6th. But on the 7th I tried to mount a comeback with winning that hole. Fast forward to the 9th. I had a 9.3ft putt to make to tie the game and send it to extra holes, but it burned the edge of the hole and just missed. And with that BigCountry317 wins and the Legends of the U.N. are now out.

Thank you to BigCountry317 for a wonderful match. And you also seemed like a great guy and I look forward to having more matches with you in the future. It should also be noted that you sir, BigCountry317, have been officially added to my WGT SuperStar list. (A personal list of players that have exceptional skill at this game) And to you Bootsie, thank you once again for a GREAT tournament. Very creative!! How you came up with this is beyond me. And being the Tournament CEO of my club I know what it takes to run big tournaments like this and you have ran this one beautifully. I look forward to more of your tournaments as do my C.C. members. Good luck to everyone left in the tournament. Take care.

Late night game with Scottyinslomo.  Managed to win 2 up after an up and down match.  I took a 2 up lead after 2 holes and held it through 4.  He threw in a 45 foot bomb on 5 and after a meter induced tee shot by me on 6 that went about 50 yards, he brought it back to even.  He hit the pin on 7with this third shot to leave short birdie putt and my eagle putt just missed.  Both of us hit poor tee shots on 8 but he barely missed and I made a long one to go 1 up.  Stiffed it on 9 from 145 while he came up short and almost chipped in while I had a 2 footer for birdie that he conceded.  Great match, glad we got to play it.

Wow, thank you very much for the compliments.  I've played Bollox though.....haha, let's just say I don't deserve to be on that list or even mentioned in the same breath with that dude! :-)

Enjoyed the match very much & I will definitely be looking forward to sharing rounds in the future.  I think that is what I'm enjoying most about this tournament and Slor's.  It's relatively early in both tournaments but dang near everyone I've played has proven to be a great competitor and sportsman.....the kind of people I'd like to compete with/against regularly.  Yoda, you are exactly the type of player/person I'm talking about.  You hung in there when I jumped out a bit and came within a hair of mounting an impressive comeback.....all without ever changing your demeanor.  To be honest I was hoping you'd make that last putt & extend the match as I truly believed you deserved to take that match to extras. :-) Well played!

Thanks again Yoda for the extremely nice compliments & to you Bootsie for a very well run tournament.  Cheers!

First of all I want to thank Bootsie for putting this tournament together and working hard to make sure the matches are set up and played.

In looking at the concept and thinking about Splatball II, I have a suggestion that would (at least in my opinion) enhance the tournament.  The concept is great, splat out one of your rivals and then the other team is short handed in the next round.  In real golf, tennis, etc. being short handed would mean having to play more matches, getting tired, etc. in virtual golf you don't get tired so having to play 2 or 3 matches the next round doesn't have the same penalty.  I'll use Tess and Dianne as examples here, they lost all of their team except the two of them in round 1.yet as they go forward into round 2, they still have their best and 2 of the best players on the site left.  Having to play 3 or 4 matches each is no big deal to them.

I would suggest that the real fun would be to have those players remaining all play in the next round.  For example in the Dianne and Tess situation, they would have to take the other team in a match play situation with 3 against one, best ball.

I know that WGT doesn't have that format but the players could monitor it.  I think it would be cool to watch as those great players would will advance have to play against 3 others, anyway just thinking out loud about what we can do to improve it.  The best players are going to win on one on one matches, this might be a new wrinkle.
