    Oksy is correct this attempt?

    yes it's ok.

that said, I've been working on other method, leaving the bridge and the back pin alone - moving the marker to the right and hitting the meter before the blue area.

I'm happy that the hit-before-the-blue method won with the bridge method lol! Congrats to birdnamnam, the Ultimate Ditchmaster.

I'm actually sort of disappointed.  After trying a dozen or so times from in front of the green and then going via the bridge route and getting close, I was  amazed to see how easy that birdnamnam made it look......if I knew you just hit a normal putt that didn't fall in the water and was perfectly straight I could have made it.   lol   Just kidding, great shot and good work to find the perfect place to hit from.  The method that I used to play the hole over and over as a single play hole never gave you the front pin.

lol yeah, great shot, and the opposite of "perfectly straight". I tried it a couple of dozen times to check if it's worth 25k. It is. You have to hit it between 90-100 yards (at least with the ghost) and not only find the perfect spot near the Burn but also the sweet spot on the meter (somewhere before blue zone).

Well, I do not totally disagree with Tarheels. I mean, it was not easy, not at all. But I had the privilege to "discover" oksymoron's post before other players, who are obviously better than me, as Tarheel is too. So, I tried the method earlier than others.

As for the wining putt now, I used the L55 Rossa. After seeing oksy's replay I made 2-3 free attempts to see how my putter would react, and how much strength it would need to reach the hole. I had to use full 100yds to get there. So I made 2-3 more shots to find the right place for the pin. And luckily, after few more shots I did it. It was in!

I have to express my many thanks to oksymoron again. He is a great player, that's for sure, but above all, he is a kind and generous person. He kindly accepted my invitation to play a friendly match with me (after equipping my bag with all the goodies he sent me). Of course, I let him win... lol (he had lots of fun with me, even putted a birdie with the R11 driver...). And I must admit that I didn't expect him to be so quick with the 25K price. In less than half an hour, he sent me all the clubs and balls I asked. Much obliged oksymoron!

    See you soon ev1!

    Cheers from Greece!

Awesome putt and as you mentioned very generous to offer this prize.  Hope that you didn't take away that I was saying this wasn't a great putt, it was for sure.  One of the thing you learn (or at least I did) in trying this was how important position is.  Even the method that I was trying by the bridge required great position.  Because the putt from the bridge area had a large break you needed to position the ball well to try and hit the same line each time, until I found the way to play a hole over and over again, it was very frustrating, since the pin moves around.

Again congrats and enjoy your new clubs, balls, etc.  This was a great challenge and I think that WGT could take something away from it.  Offer up a challenge like this once a month the the membership, maybe 10k credits from WGT and you will have a lot of buzz and interest that is needed.
