    Hi people

I'm unable to make birdies, I've been playing for a while but I never ended a round under par. I think my problem is putting

    I made 40.38% when I'm closest to 5 feet and 5.51 between 5.51 when I'm between 5 and 10 feet

Any advice to improve my putting

    Thx

Here are a few tips that might help:

    1. Keep the ball above the hole.

    2. Get the ball to the hole.

    3. Hit the ball harder to take out the break.

    4. Better putters have better precision.

    5. Check out the tutorials and Putting Tips over there---->

    6. Practice

    7. Maybe the best putting advice has nothing to do with putting...Hit approach shots closer to the hole =)

I hope Joeyola mean keep the ball "above" the hole in terms of the break. In terms of upslope/downslope, it's much better to leave the below below the hole so you're putting uphill. The first thing you need to do is eliminate as many 3 putts as possible; that is all about distance. If you can hit it the right distance, you should be within 5 feet, even if you get the break wrong. Never, ever leave putts short; you're good at short putts, so don't worry if you're a couple feet past the hole. If you miss, it should go a foot or two long.

As previously said, read the 'Putting Tip' in the FAQS, then reread it. Play allot of practice games, when you reach the green then you can practice your putting. Have your first putt, if it doesn't go in...turn around and putt back to where you were, then do this again and again and again.. You are allowed 10 shots a hole and it doesn't affect your average.

Distance control is your first priority, if you get the distance right then the direction will fall into place in time. If you play the same course all the time, then you will start to get to know the rolls and where to place the aimer (if your a hit the ding putter).

    Cheers

Yes...sorry I didn't make that clear.  Along those lines, never click the meter on the down hill side of the ding; uphill putts will generally break less than downhill putts; and be more aggressive with uphill putts.

Never understood why you need to play practice games when you can play ranked rounds and have them count towards leveling, while still getting the benefit of practicing. Unless you are after a specific tee, green speed or wind strength.  :)

In a practice game, you can basically practice any shot in the book. Just hit the ball and then hit it back where it came from (bunkers, chipping flops, putting etc) until you reach the Max. amount of shots for that hole (10).The only thing you can't play more than one shot a hole is the Drives.

On the green you hit your putt, if it doesn't go in the hole then hit back where it came from and try again and again.  As I said before this doesn't affect your average. This is a very good way of getting good at your putting....or any shot.

If you play a Ranked round, you can still do this, but you can end up with 150+ for your score. To me that's not good...lol.

yah I guess if you're close to leveling or something, that'd be a BIG point lol

I kinda look at it like, well hell if I'm gonna use up my paid for balls and waste my time, I may as well get some exp from it is all bud  :)

Oh yes, I understand what your say TeeWade :)

Not forgetting also.. A ranked round will also be counted on your stats... so shooting, lets say 90 shots for 9 holes won't look good with the stats too...lol

    Cheers
