greatwhitedale:
ok this is how it is > on kiawa or bethpage or st andrews i can score on average lets say between par and 7 under, my average has been around 67 ish, since playing oakmont its getting out very high very rapidly, this is going to make me look like a cheat when i score well on those other courses, im guessing there is no law stoping me from playing oakmont day after day ?, as i so want to concur this hard ***, but i simply cant break 90, im gunna look stupid soon being a hack or amatuer again but can shoot 61 and 62's around bethpage and kiawa.

There is no need to worry on how it looks. The beauty of the handicap system is that it will soon find your "true" potential It will adjust automatically as each game is played.
The playing conditons vary week after week, therefore not allowing the "same conditions" to give any false reading of your ability.
Quite often when a new member arrives with a provisional handicap, it is reduced quickly, others not so quick. But I can assure you it will find the correct level. The one reason I ask for 3 scorecards to establish a handicap gives a good indication to where your handicap region is based. However I have a formula that enables me to issue you with a provisional handicap within reason, allowing you a more than sporting chance to get your name in lights" early, before the dreaded drop!
Of course with the new Oakmont and St Andrews Virtual Opens, players WGT Averages are set to soar. This has made the job a little more difficult to assess provisional handicaps in the way as done before, however, I have now found a solution to that problem as well.
Welcome to Golfseeker and I hope to see you on the course for a game soon. You can play in all competitions (the established longer running scenarios with the exception of "blindmans pairs" along with all other comps such as the Summer Sizzlers. Do not worry that you won't be able to feature high on leaderboards, because there will be one week set aside soon to allow all latecomers and new members the opportunity to play " Catch up". That would allow you an equal chance (Golfseekers is all about Parity and the opportunity for fair play)
Seeya on the course.
