GS OPEN WEEK 2 - ST ANDREWS
That was one of the best but strangest round i've ever had and I'm sure Woodsy will agree with me ! Any way Thanks to Woodsy for the game and also for his patience during the round when I had some issues with my PC.
The game started okay but then after the first 2 holes my meter started to deteriorate badly and caused me a lot of problems as I just couldn't hit the ding ! On the other hand my fellow Aussie mate Woodsy was playing like a man possessed ! He scored a great eagle on the 5th hole after hitting a very nice approach shot from the rough to about 8y pin high and drilled the putt home. In fact he only missed 2 putts the entire front 9 and it was only bad luck that kept them out too !
The back 9 started well when we both drove the green and I was putting for eagle when the screen froze on me then kicked me out of the game after a lengthy wait ! After I logged back on I just couldn't get the game screen to load properly for some unknown reason ! I gave up after a few unsuccessful tries and decided to reboot my machine and that seem to fix the problem as I was finally able to get the game screen to load even though it was at a much slower speed ! Anyway I was able to hook up with Woodsy again after the lengthy delay and restarted the game from the 10th hole. Woodsy continued his excellent form and made 2 great eagles on the 14th and 16th hole while I finally managed to turn my game around and also made eagles on the 10th and 16th hole. Woodsy seem to slow down near the end and he had a very unlucky bogie on the 17th hole and only made par on the last hole due to an unlucky bounce and VEM on his 2nd shot !
It was a fun round despite all the drama and well done to Woodsy for his fantastic round. I'm just glad that I played well in the end after an indifferent start and Thanks again to Woodsy for the great company and a very enjoyable chat ! :-)
