Round 3 summary
Mrdyb was sailing along nicely after 2 rounds and looked a certainty to breeze into the final stages, yet, Oakmont turned its' ugly head and bit him with avengence. Lip-outs and so many nearly putts would have probably seen him through, but now after Oakmont he has dipped down the table , however, he is still in a qualifying position. Come on Oys, you can hit back this week. Great rounds by Kainstanford, Grumpy53 (his first score under 60) (and at Oakmont !!!) and Saltysam. They produced some magic and have shot up the standings into strong positions. So as you can see the final stage of the April qualifications is still wide open.
It is likely to be a tense final round 4 for qualification into the top 8 as conditions worsen on The Best of Famous. Many players are vying for those top 8 spots. Who will prevail? Anything can happen.
If it doesn't happen to be "your week" Don't worry, as you have a second chance in May to make it through
