  Yet another new competiton has been added to the already long list of competitions and tournaments going on with the virtual golfseeking community

  LATEST UPDATES

  Quick reminder to those that haven't completed their 1st round stableford matches. You have just over 2 days left to get your scorecards in.  Stll waiting on half of the field

  Only 9 places remain in the final division. Once these are filled no more divisions will be formed this season.  Get in quick!

  A waiting list will be produced and any new entries after the final division is formed will be placed in a queue.(on a first come first served basis)  Should a player drop out of a league division then the first in the queue will be moved into the league into the division that the outgoing player was involved in (any points gained by the departing player will be transferred to the incoming player.

  All those on the waiting list will be automatically included for the next season, when more divisions are formed.

  Get your practice in for next weeks Stableford at Bethpage Black its gonna be windy !

  Week 3 will see the start of the Platinum challenge and will be the 2nd Tournament running.  Week 4 will see the Monthly Medal and All divisional league games commencing, So you will be playing 4 tournamnets from then on. 

  Get your names down for the one-off Valentines Day Massacre (details on the home page)  It should be fun as you see the 'Live' leaderboard changing as player finish their rounds.

  You now also have a option in your users menus to opt-out of any or all competitions and tournaments (be aware, there is no turning back if you select an option - as it will automatically remove you from a competition.)

  Week one (stableford)  is tight at the moment with just one birdie separating the top 10. Will a card yet to be handed in move to the top of the leaderboard?

  Less than 2 days to get those cards in (still 25 more cards to be handed in)

  The first round is VERY close with players jockeying for position.

  A full explanation and a working example of how the stableford scoring works  is now on view in the site  (see 19th (top menu) or forum (stableford format)

  Don't miss out on your first round points - get those cards in quickly. The countdown (as shown in the site) is ticking away as you read this.

  Next week will certainly sort a few on the leaderboard.  My advice is  get some practice on Bethpage (look at fixtures for the conditions that you will be facing) as it is not gonna be as easy as the first rounds conditions.

  PS  don't forget to read 'The golden Rules'  BEFORE you commence your rounds. It saves disappointment and confusion.

  2 Brand new comps are soon to be added to the schedules, bringing the tally to 12 comps this season (with up to 6 running at the same time!)

  Now you will be able to compete with the best of em. Scoring anything up to 125 for your round will give you as much chance as someone shooting 54!!!!  A complete game leveller. Details will shortly be available on the site

  A New team event challenge is coming your way soon. Look out for it . It should be fun

  Oh and another addition will be added within the next few days ( surprise surprise !)

  News of the FOUR new comps to add to the 10 we already have

  Fourball Betterball Strokeplay -  ( A game for pairs to compete) - The best ball from each partnership is the one that counts at the end of every hole based on stableford scoring . (handicaps are included)  (Countback of  3-6-9-12 -15-18 will be used in ties)

  Fourball Betterball  Matchplay Knockout (As above but NO HANDICAP ALLOWANCES ) Each player plays his or her own ball throughout the round. On each hole, the lowest ball score of the two players serves as that side's score. Winners progress to next round

  The Callaway Trophy - featuring the Callaway scoring system  ( Meaning no handicap is required and all players scoring up to 125 strokes on the course will have as much chance as anyone shooting just 54! ) A great format and a lot of fun.

  The Captains Challenge league  (Team Captains  take turns to select  their players from various groups. The groups are seeded along the way according to WGT averages and golfseeker handicaps - example TeamA Capt chooses player from group 1 (players with lowest avg/hcp)  Team Capt B then chooses from  player group1 (players with lowest avg/hcp)TeamCapt 3  and so on.  ... They continue to select from groups 1-2-3 etc until the end.  These teams will now be formed and will act as the teams in the Captains Challenge league

  And Yes you've guessed it  A club captain and vice captain are soon to be elected. Just like the real thing - look for details on who to propose and how to vote soon. ( Oh and the responsibilities involved  lol)
