  As all scorecards for seasonal comps are now required to be placed into their own individual threads within the GS CC this thread will now be used for one off OPEN to all competitions.

  If you see this thread appear, then there will be a one-ff comp that all can participate in.

  The Golfseeker Exclusive Country Club has now closed its' doors for new membership until season 3 expires.   We will be looking for any members wishing to join the fairest system in playing WGT virtual golf for season 4 in approx 8 weeks time.

  It looks like a busy season for us all with over 27 different games a week (you don't have to play them all !!!) New additions and new formats, all with handicaps to allow you all a fair and equal chance of competing.  WGT averages mean nothing to us , so it doesn't matter if you have a 56  or 106 average ,  you have the same opportunity of success (however, you will need to play to your best ability to be a winner)

  Why GS CC ?  It is the CLOSEST you will find to the "real" game  using official handicapping systems. REAL golf formats........Leagues....Singles.........Single play.......Multi play.....Team events..In-house one-off tournaments based upon your handicaps......Cash or Prizes in nearly every game you play...........

  Website..Help rooms...Social rooms........Chat & Voice rooms and much more.....

  Each and every game is scrutinised and  verified. No fear of quitters, sandbaggers and the like......

  Its Finally Here

  Texas Scramble 3player  Team events  start this Monday coming  for GS members

  9 HOLES

  You have been allocated teams of 3  with best 2 scores per hole to count .  You will play the WGT determined weekly single play 9 hole event and submit your cards to the newly created "2 out of 3 aint bad" Scramble Thread in GS forum.    A 3/4 Handicap allowance is in place and the team event is stableford format.  If any player withdraws from the WGT weekly single play 9  then the scores will be taken from the remaining 2 players in that team.  If more than one withdraws  then the team score will result in a no return.

  18 HOLES

  3 player Teams  Texas Scramble  1/6th Combined handicap allowance  Stableford Scoring

  You will play the WGT determined weekly single play 18 hole event and submit your cards to the newly created "Texas Endurance" Scramble Thread in GS forum. All 3 players MUST submit cards or the team is "no returned" for the week

  Your teams and members of  your team  can be viewed in GS site ( latest reports)

  This takes out total weekly comps  ( Regular seasonal weekly comps + 2 new Texas weekly scramble events)  plus  Weekly KO  plus daily CC events)   to over 20 comps per week !!!!   well over 200 separate comps  in the season.  With over 100 of them containing prizes of cash , credits, and equipment.

  Golfseekers is now a private members club and is only accessible to current season members. The doors will open again in season 4. allowing new members to join.

  We currently play  - Strokeplay, Matchplay, Stableford Texas Scramble, Betterball, Weekly Medals  and many other popular formats as per the real thing.  Also ALL games include for a real life handicap scenario, allowing all an equal chance of success.

  Golfseekers is exclusive and unique in the sense that it is as close to the real thing as possible.  Season 4 will start in September and details will be published allowing new members the opportunity to join our community.

  Maybe see you there in September.

  To celebrate  my 1 year (today) at WGT  here comes  the following game: -
  
  You will play 18 holes at  OAKMONT   from the Medium tees  with High winds  and Very Fast  speed greens.  You will play with starter balls only. 

  You MUST use  your DRIVER on par 3 holes to play your first shot.   You CANNOT use  any driver/wood/hybrid  on ANY OTHER hole.  

  You MUST play irons  from the tee on par 4 and par 5's and continue  to use them up to the green.    

  The game must be played by a minimum of  2 players per group.  

  MAKE SURE  your opponent does not use a "prohibited" club at ANY time. 

  If your opponent DOES use a prohibited club (whether accidently or not)  they will incur a 3 shot addition to their score for each offence. (please note down each and every occasion for scoring purposes at the end) 

  YOU MUST save your scorecards  and upload them to this thread  (not the GS threads on GS site)   Oh  another thing........You won't be playing to handicaps  .....thats right  you are ALL playing off scratch.... 

  Now  for the good stuff.....ANY hole in one on a par 3 (using driver) will win $5 (only 1 prize  no eagle counted) ... Any eagle  (par 4 or par 5)  will win $2...   any birdie on 9th  will win $5.........ALL rounds under par (with no penalties) each player achieving it will win $2.50... The lowest overall score will earn  a wedge of your choice

  This fun comp is for today ONLY  and ends at midnight (GMT) see world clocks on GS site  if  in doubt.

  Wishing all the best and the least frustration as possible  and here's hoping for no HIO's  Birdies, Eagles or under par rounds  lol.... (joking)  I hope  you all achieve it...  Good luck to you all  and most of all....have fun and a laugh as you hack your way around.

   

  Remember to equip your bag  with STARTER BALLS   ..and when the ordeal is over  - go back to your normal choice of ball

  TIMER  -  You can decide between yourself and  your playing partners  if  you wish to use  30 seconds  or  90 seconds....The option is open !!!

  Your first game counts....Once you have played  you can mark for others (but your score will not count)

  PS.  It's a FUN comp   so  enjoy it !!!
