Does the wind strength affect the distance a putt should travel ?
If you had a 50 foot putt direct into a 20 mph head wind, should you hit the putt any harder than normal ?
Any thoughts ??

I've never noticed much of a difference but I have seen others comment on taking wind into play.... if there is any difference it is VERY minor!

it does, but it's pretty minimal and only comes into play on long putts with big winds.

Simple answer for all of you: IT DOES AFFECT IT! it also affects putting line, and even more than distance at that. there is no real way to find out how much it really does affect it but I play it more by feel...The wind can hold a ball from breaking on a 5 footer very easily and keep it from going in...keep on hackin'!
