I am wondering why it is that nearly every tournament (regardless of type) that is open to Legend players is rarely, if ever, won by a Legend under Level 90? I did not do a ton of research but what I could dig into seems to suggest a peculiar bias (<---for lack of a better word) towards players at Level 90 or above.

Now, before anyone states the obvious that players who have reached this level are better learned and more skilled, consider the oddity I am alleging here that no player(s) under Level 90 are to be found showing the same level of domination. In other words, with somewhere around 3000 players at Legend status and countless others at Master and TM, doesn't it seem peculiar that not a single one under Level 90 is capable of playing at the same level? There are certainly sub-Level 90 basement dwellers out there who spend a comparable amount of time (maybe even more) playing this game daily and yet not a single one can produce regular Top 5 or Top 10 finishes?? This observation holds true when the list of money winners is considered, too.

So, the BIG question is: Is there something built into the game that affords a different level of "favor" once a certain level of  play is reached? I read comments on here pertaining to something called EVM and/or 'deviation'???.....coul dthis have something to do with it??

Lastly, please know that I am not bellyaching here just because I am a Legend that can't win a tournament. This isn't intended to be a gripe and I highly doubt I'll ever be THAT good of a player anyway....and I'm perfectly fine with that. I don't play any money tourneys anyway and probably never will.

This is really just an observation I've made. Any thoughts, opinions ??

Just a thought, and I could be way off here, but maybe the clubs have something to do with it. I don't know about you, but I noticed a huge improvement in my scoring when I upgraded to the Burner 2.0's. Maybe the R11's are that much better still. Also, maybe alot of the people (many of them being under lvl90) who just don't think they can compete with the big-dogs on here just don't bother entering those tournaments.

There are countless TM's who could win these tournaments that are Level 90 and below. The problem is once they start winning or placing in the top 5 they have to shoot what they are capable of shooting. Then what happens? Their average drops and they become a Legend and they can't take advantage of the ladies tees any longer in Match Play for Credit games.

So the TRUE players and Legends of this game compete in the Ready Go tournaments.

I use the burners instead of the R11's and i still win ready go's. I am level 94 but i've stuck with the burners as the R11's give me just a touch more spin than i'm comfortable with.

I would say the reason that it's legends above level 90 that win is because about 90% of legends are above level 90. It's as simple as that.

And as for deviation. Yes, we definitely still get that above level 90.

    I agree

made by a ''famous' player here not long ago sticks in my head,

    ''I f i see someone has shot 27 i don't bother playing'' ( because 1st player to lodge wins)

yeah.... well I'm not now never will be in that league

Doesn't really make sense.  First, you have to pay...and they don't let you see what others have shot until the tourney is full.  So why would I pay, and not play.  With most Ready-Go's, all you need to do is shoot around 30-31 to break even and get your money back.  You should always play once you've paid.  In a Ready-Go there are only 50 participants, and 30 of them will get at least some of their money back...why not make an effort.

    There's one other thing I'd like to say..while I'm ranting a bit.

You don't have to WIN tourneys to play this game for free.  I've made a career out of finishing between 5th-12th place in Ready-Go's.

If you pay 100 credits to play the Ready-Go, and win 125 credits for finishing in 10th or 11th place...then you just profited 25 credits. Maybe in the next Ready-Go I finish in 6th, and get 185 credits, after that, perhaps I finish in 15th, and only get back 75 credits, after that, perhaps I finish in 9th and get 155 credits.

You don't have to win the Ready-Gos to actually make a profit here...just get to where you can shoot 30-33 on a regular basis, with the occasional 29...and you will probably more than support yourself.

    Not that I've noticed.

It's a big step up to Legend & you have to learn the courses and shot types properly if you want to compete and that takes a lot of time.

I could compete at RG's as a TM, but as a legend had to target top 20 , then top 15 , then top 10 etc...

    Takes time....

    Experience counts.

There is a ton of playing to be done between level 83 and level 90.

That said, look at the winners and see what clubs and balls they are using, you can use thier balls, but not the R11's yet.

I took a  quick look at your score history and see you play mainly unlimited tourneys, but I'd ask how many restarts do you have to keep shooting your scores?

Why haven't you played or posted single tourney's? (not trying to start something, just asking....see below)

Thing is in single plays, like RG's, it's one chance..post or piss...again, experience makes you play through the double bogie and try to birdie the next 5 holes...if playing unlimiteds, it's easy to just say..."heck, restart, try again"....in effect losing a "grinding" mentality.

After a few hundred more rounds, and experience on the course, you start to know "okay, bogied that one, I know I can bird the next 6 ..."
